BitSecure: The original high-resolution digital file

During the printing or direct marking process detailed information is lost.

When trying to copy the pattern, the digital original is not available. Additional information is lost when scanning and replicating the pattern again. This loss of quality can be identified in a read-out and thus enables a counterfeit to be distinguished from an original.

BitSecure^® uses a high-resolution random pattern with delicate details which are not detectable by the naked eye. Whenever a counterfeiter copies the pattern, the copy—for technical reasons—will feature less precision and technical details. While the original is printed directly from a high-resolution digital master, an illegal copy is based on a previously printed image.

These deviations can be identified using a scanner and suitable software and thus enable immediate authentication.
